Welcome to Hadith AI (Hadith Companion). We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring transparency in all our data practices in strict compliance with the Google Play Developer Policies, GDPR, and CCPA.
Our core Hadith library is completely offline. We do not sell your personal data. We do not track your reading history on remote servers. GPS location is used solely on your device for astronomical prayer calculations and is never uploaded anywhere.
1. Information We Collect and Process
Local On-Device Information (Never Sent to Servers)
Your saved bookmarks, last-read chapters, font size preferences, and reading progress are stored locally on your device in an encrypted SQLite database. Daily quiz streak counters are saved locally on your phone via SharedPreferences.
Location Data (Used Strictly Locally for Salah Calculation)
When you grant location permission, your coordinates are processed strictly locally to calculate sunrise, sunset, and prayer times according to astronomical solar formulas. Your GPS coordinates are never transmitted, logged, or stored on remote servers.
AI Conversational Inquiries
When you ask a question to Hadith AI, the text of your query is transmitted over secure SSL/TLS to our AI inference infrastructure to retrieve authentic Hadith citations. We do not require or associate your personal identity with your queries.
2. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob Disclosures)
To keep authentic Hadith literature free for Muslims around the world, we display advertisements via Google AdMob.

pub-3362561286987631in our publishedapp-ads.txt. - Advertising Identifiers: Google AdMob may process your mobile device's Google Advertising ID (AAID on Android) to serve banner, interstitial, or rewarded video advertisements and prevent click fraud.
- Strict Islamic Filtering: We enforce strict category exclusions to prohibit un-Islamic categories, including gambling, alcohol, adult content, dating, and non-halal financial instruments.
- Opt-Out: You can opt out of personalized ads at any time via Android Settings > Google > Ads > Delete advertising ID, or remove all ads permanently via our in-app Pro upgrade.
3. Device Permissions Explained
- ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION & ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: Strictly utilized on-device to compute Islamic prayer schedules based on solar angles.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Requested strictly to schedule local notifications for daily prayer times and morning Hadith reflections.
- VIBRATE: Used for soft haptic feedback on interactive button taps (can be disabled in Settings).
4. User Rights & Data Deletion

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Hadith AI is designed for general audiences seeking authentic Islamic knowledge. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
